Carl Alex Bowman, a free-spirited adventurer and deep thinker, left this world on Monday, November 2, 2015, after a well lived, although much too short life of 40 years. His love of nature and the great outdoors, led him to most recently call Denver, Colorado his home. He spent his childhood in Deer Park, Texas and a great deal of his adult life in Buffalo, Texas.
Carl is survived by his father, Clarence Bowman; sister, Kelly Bowman Lindsay; her children and his adoring nieces, Paige Elizabeth, Peyton Alison, Parker Anne & Presley Abigail; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends & pets. He is predeceased by his biggest fan and doting mother, Brenda Bowman.
Carl was born in Houston on October 25, 1975 to a family full of love and joy at his arrival. He played Little League, enjoyed Boy Scouts, Church Youth Camps and any opportunity to broaden his horizons and learn more about this vast world.
Carl was an avid reader and gifted writer. He enjoyed hiking and exploring, traveling the country, exploring small coffee shops and untraveled roads. He had a tenderness for animals and was a Pied Piper to most children who met him, including his many nieces and cousins. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7th at Memorial Baptist Church in Pasadena. A visitation with the family is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6th at Grand View Funeral Home in Pasadena.
