Cynthia Lynn Peebles

Cynthia “Cindy” Lynn Peebles, age 63, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday January 1st, 2022 at St. Luke’s Health – Patients Medical Center in Pasadena, TX after a courageous battle with her health.

Cindy was born in Anderson, IN to John Boyd Cook and Virginia Lee (Anderson) Cook on Sunday March 16th, 1958. She lived much of her childhood, adolescence and adult life in Pasadena, TX. This is where she graduated from high school, later met her beloved husband of 40yrs and raised her three children. Cindy is remembered for her Heart of Gold, incomparable love, strength, selflessness, and her giving spirit. She had the ability to make everyone she encountered feel loved, embraced and as if they were family. She also shared a love for her cats, Casa Ole, Walmart, casino trips and Bingo. Her children will forever remember her as “The Best Mother Ever”.

Cindy is survived by her mother: Virginia Cook, husband: Mark V. Peebles, children: Tamara Rivera, Robert Howard, Dan Peebles, their significant others: Alfredo Manning, Brittany Lloyd, grandchildren: Kyle Howard, Emily Howard, Daveon Franklin, Blake Peebles, Penelope Howard, and Travis Peebles. In addition are her brother: John L. Cook, sister in-law: Shannon Cook, nephews: Keegan Cook, Klayton Cook, cousin: Paula Zalesky, other extended family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father: John Boyd Cook and grandson: Carter Howard.

Pallbearers serving will be Robert Howard, Dan Peebles, Alfredo Manning, Keegan Cook, Klayton Cook, Christopher Leisinger, Kyle Howard, and Edward Ramirez.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life on Wednesday January 5th, 2022 anytime from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home 8501 Spencer Hwy | La Porte, TX 77505. Funeral services will be on Thursday January 6th, 2022 at 2:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home 8501 Spencer Hwy | La Porte, TX 77505. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery.
