Dan Edward Austin, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. He was born August 23, 1927 in Sacul, Texas to William E. and Minnie Austin. Dan was a member of Deer Park Masonic Lodge No. 1362, First Baptist Church of Pasadena (inactive Deacon) and served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1948. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dot Austin; daughter, Nancy Austin Dyess and husband Steve; brother, Tedd Austin and wife Jeaninne; sister, Jean Boyles and husband Dale; grandchildren, Julie Dyess Archer, Lindsey Dyess Cosby and husband Gabe; great grandchildren, Tobias Archer and Cadence Joy Archer; numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by son, Rusty Austin in 1980; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Bill Hassell in 1987. Visitation will be Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6PM to 8PM at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10AM in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home.
