Donald Ray Elliott, 88, of Splendora, TX entered into rest on Sunday July 19, 2020. He was born on July 9, 1932 in Durante, Oklahoma to Theodora and Cleo Elliott.
Donald proudly served in the U.S. Army with the second Armory Division. He was truly devoted to his wife Shirley for over 60 years. He later retired from Champion Paper mill.
In his spare time, he loved to hunt, work in his garden, and work on small engines. Donald was honest and compassionate; he was an animal lover and enjoyed spoiling his pups. He loved his country living and Lonestar beer. He will be missed by every heart he touched.
Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Elliott and brother, Warren Elliott. He is survived by his children, Patti Ferlisi (Mike) and Donald W. Elliott (Wendy); sister, Pat Fulgham; and grandchildren, Donald W. Elliott Jr. and Malinde Pothe; “adopted” granddaughter, Vanessa Sharp (Kevin); and numerous great-grandchildren.
