Donna Lynn Kroesche

Donna was born May 12, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to James C. and Bernice (Sekula) Stein. She married Kenneth Ray Kroesche August 22, 1970 at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in San Antonio. Ken and Donna moved to the Houston area in 1971.

Donna was a graduate of Providence High School Class of 1967 in San Antonio and had retired from AT&T (formerly Southwestern Bell Telephone Company). She was a longtime member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Deer Park and was more recently active in the local Catholic Daughters of Americas. She loved playing bunco, watching her “soaps”, relaxing in her swimming pool, and being “Granny” to her two little sparkles Faith and Millie. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, when she would decorate the six themed Christmas trees in her home.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Cindy Woitena.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Amy (Jason) Frederick; granddaughters: Faith and Millie Frederick; sisters: Susie (John) Stewart, Bernice (Larry) Friesenhahn; niece: Michelle; nephews: Chris, Kirk, and Russell.

Visitation will begin Wednesday August 28 5:00 P.M. at Grand View Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, August 29 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, followed by a celebration of life at The Battleground Golf Course in Deer Park.
