Doris Jean Irwin

Doris Jean Irwin, 91, of Deer Park, Texas went to be with the Lord at 3:05 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2016. She was born on November 23, 1924 in Broken Bow, Nebraska, the daughter of Chris and Clara Brons. Doris graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Around 1951 she moved to California and worked at Kwickset Locks for 28 ½ years. She married Forrest Irwin on March 29 1967.

After the passing of her husband Forrest she moved to Deer Park, Texas. She is survived by her four children she had with her first husband, Connie Azzano (Dave), Vici Villigan, Joe Griffith (Jan), Mike Griffith (Laura); grandchildren, Kim Hightower (John), Danny Azzano, Christie Villigan (Kyle), Mike Griffith, Angie Collier, Nicholas Griffith, Jacob Griffith (Molly), Jenny Griffith; great grandchildren, Derrek Dampier (Taylor), Ryan Dampier (Chass), Ronnie Delorto, Caleb Villigan, Haley Hitchings, Joey Griffith; great great grandchildren, Emma Dampier, Liam Dampier, Michael Delorto, and Marcus Delorto.

Doris did a lot of volunteering in Deer Park with the Chamber of Commerce, AARP, and East Harris County Annex in Pasadena. She attended First Baptist Church of Deer Park. Doris loved spending time with her family and friends.

There will be a visitation Friday, October 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm also at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
