Elaine Baldwin

William James “Billy” Baldwin, 69 of Friendswood, Texas lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Billy was born on November 3, 1941 in Jacksonville, Florida to Frankie and Homer Baldwin.

After graduation from Austin High School, Billy served in the Army National Guard for six years. Following graduation from University of Houston he worked for State Farm Insurance as an agent for 40 years. Billy was a dedicated member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church and instrumental in the building of the church on Scarsdale. Billy had a passion for life, his dogs, boating, hunting and flying.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Elaine Baldwin; sister, Judy Brister and husband Gary of Cypress, Texas; niece Jill Brister of Houston, Texas; nephew Chris Brister and wife Stacy of Cypress, Texas; grandnieces Ellie and Riley; brother- in- law Vic Schaefer and wife Holly of College Station; nephew and niece Logan and Blair.

A celebration of Billy’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 10310 Scarsdale - Houston, Texas 77089. Private interment services were held at Grand View Memorial Park.
