She later moved to San Antonio where she worked briefly in a local bakery until she met the love of her life, Wendell Marshall, whom she celebrated a marriage of 50 years with before the Lord called him home.
Two brothers, survive her James West, of Garland, Texas and Wayne West of Victoria, Texas. Two surviving sons, Michael Eugene Marshall of Pearland, Tx and Dennis Marshall, from Hilo, Hawaii, seven (7) Grandchildren, Michelle, Swetland, Carrolton, Tx, Michael Nicholas Marshall, deceased, Monica Marshall, Hilo, Hawaii, Kalae Marshall, Hilo, Hawaii, Lesli Smith, Pearland, Tx, Nathan Rorick, Pasadena, Tx, Sarah Corbin, League City, Tx, and seven (7) Great-children, Jay Smith, Zach Smith, Jackson Rorick, Abigail Rorick, Tate Corbin, Luke Swetland and Rachael Swetland, whom she prided herself on.
Many will miss Eunice. Especially, she will be missed for her devotion to her children, her love of painting and most definitely her ability to transform flowers into a breath taking arrangement. Her creative talents for the arts exceeds any words to describe how gifted she was. Whether it was playing a tune on the organ, guitar or masterfully designing a wreath of flowers for the door she excelled. When not playing her music she could be found consumed with putting together 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzles at Colonial Oaks Assisted Living where she spent her final days.
The family would like to take this opportunity to express their gratitude to the staff of Colonial Oaks, and Hallmark Hospice for their kindness, concern and care for Miss Eunice. A special thank you to the Reverend Mark Robinson from Hallmark Hospice for his compassion and dedication to the patients he serves. The thoughtfulness, coupled with professionalism made a time of much difficulty and sadness easier to cope with. Many thanks, The Marshall family.
