

Felix Thomas Colon, age 66, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, leaving behind a legacy rich with love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the people and values he cherished. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ and nurtured at the Andrus Home in Yonkers, NY, Felix’s compassionate heart and deep sense of gratitude were rooted in his upbringing. These qualities defined his life's journey, as he always aimed to make others feel supported and cherished.
Felix took immense pride in his service in the Army, showcasing courage, discipline, and an unyielding commitment to his country. Following his military service, he carved out a successful career as an operator at Shell, but it was his beloved family that brought him the greatest joy. He adored his wife, treasured his children, and found boundless delight in his role as a grandfather. His grandchildren were his world, and he never missed a chance to celebrate their milestones or express his deep affection for them.
With a personality larger than life, Felix drew people in with his magnetic charm, and his passion for music infused in every gathering with rhythm and joy. He had a rare talent for transforming friends into family and spreading kindness wherever he ventured. His infectious laughter, boundless heart, and comforting presence were sources of strength and solace to all who knew him.
Felix is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Colon, his children, Jose Colon, Tony Chila, Brandon Chila, Angelica Murray and his deeply revered grandchildren, Emma Colon, Lucas Colon, Aiden Murray, Sophie Murray, and Khai Chila. He also leaves behind a myriad of extended family members, cherished friends, and countless others whose lives he touched with his warmth and generosity. Preceding him in death were Antonia Marti and Tomas Colon.
