Garrett Wayne Collins, a beloved son, father, brother, nephew and cousin, passed away in his home on July 23, 2024, at the age of 38.
He was born in Pasadena, Texas on December 8, 1985. His childhood in LaPorte instilled a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, baseball and riding dirt bikes. One of his many nicknames had to be Evil Knievel as he was the biggest dare devil and had no fear.
Garrett was a welder by trade and worked mostly with his father at his company, PBCO Welding. Garrett was a gentle soul and loved his children. Most of the time, whenever you saw Garrett, he had a smile on his face. We always knew one day he would be famous as he was “Mr. Hollywood.” He did become famous— “Tik Tok Famous”.
He leaves behind his father, Sam Collins and his wife, Lisa Collins, his brother, Clayton Collins, his children, Gage Collins age 15 and Kynleigh Collins age 8, his aunt and uncle, Charline and Ray Goodrum, his cousins, Regina Rawlings and husband Chris Rawlings, Wayne Thomas, Shane Durdin and his wife Jamie Durdin, Blake Goodrum and his wife Samantha Goodrum and LeeAnn Simmons. Also, his second cousins, Kailey Russell, Chase Rawlings, Myles Goodrum, Mason Goodrum, Hunter Durdin, Colby Durdin, Skilar Thomas, Asya and Richard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Collins, his grandparents, Cash and Boots Collins, Grandmother, Hazel Hensley, his uncle, Richard Simmons, and his aunt, Brenda Thomas.
The visitation will be held at Grandview Funeral Home located at 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Texas from 6-8 on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024. A private service will be held for the family on July 31st, 2024. The family is asking that each of you wear red as that was Garrett’s favorite color.
