

Harold D. Fields, 66, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away on July 28, 2015 while traveling with his family. Harold is mostly known as “Grumpy” or “Gomer” by his friends and loved ones. He was born in Galena Park, Texas on June 12, 1949, graduated from Channelview High School and attended East Texas Baptist College.
In 1971, he married his beautiful bride, Kathy Barnett, and they were married for over forty-four years before he went to be with the Lord. Harold had a career in chemical processing for over forty years before retiring and moving to Huffman to be near his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Channelview Little League for nine years, Channelview FFA for twelve years and had a passion for football, baseball, gardening and hunting. His most favorite past-time was spending time with his grandchildren.
Harold is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Barnett Fields; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Brian Pike; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Sharon Fields; grandchildren, Hagen Pike, Tucker Pike, Justin Fields and Chance Fields. He is also survived by Sarah Jayne Snyder, who gave him unconditional loving support as a child in the wake of losing his parents at an early age.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 starting at 1:00 pm followed by his Celebration of Life service at 3:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Texas 77505.
