

Harry Lee Rushing, 85, of LaPorte, Texas, passed away February 3, 2025, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born in Wills Point, Texas, on February 17, 1939, to the late Mark Oddest Rushing & Winnie Mildred Huff Rushing. Harry married the love of his life Agnes Therese Nistler. They next sixty-five years were spent together raising their family and helping with their grandchildren.
Harry owned Dixie Safe & Lock Service Inc. for 50 years. He was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was also a member Texas Locksmith Association, Associated Locksmiths of America, The Safe & Vault Technicians Association and National Rifle Association.
Harry had a passion for racing, fishing and hunting. He could often be found sitting in the living room watching a race on the television, or out on the lake with a pole in the water. Above all, Harry found that his greatest joy came from spending time with his precious family, in which he was so proud of.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents Mark & Winnie Mildred Rushing; his daughter Theresa Ann Rushing; his brother James Paul Rushing; and his sister Lenna Anita Rushing Trussel. He is survived by his wife Agnes Rushing, Sons Mark & Joseph Rushing. Daughter in Laws Brenda & Jeanie Rushing. Grandkids Kelly Torres, Gregory Rushing, Benjamin Rushing, Sarah Purlee, Emily Walker & Karlie Rushing. Grandkid in laws Eugene Torres, Sarah Rushing & Neal Purlee. Great Grandkids Nathaniel, Layla, Alena & Hope Torres. Braden, Camden & Sadie Rushing. Judah & Jedidiah Purlee.
Honoring the family by serving as Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Trussell, William Mark Rushing, Neal Purlee, Gene Torres, Greg Rushing and Ben Rushing.
Visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505, on February 11, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A rosary will also take place at the same location on February 11, 2025, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral mass is scheduled for February 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:11 am at 816 Park Dr, La Porte, TX 77571.
