James Edward Poston, Jr. of Deer Park, Texas, passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 81. Jim was born in Houston, Texas, on March 31, 1943, to James Edward Poston, Sr. and Bernice Elizabeth Poston. He was the oldest of three children. On April 23, 1988, he married the love of his life, Denise Poston, in La Porte, Texas. They built a fiercely loving and unbreakable family of four children, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Poston, and mother, Bernice Poston, and his brother, Wayne Poston.
He is survived by his wife, Denise Poston, his sister and her husband, Jackie and Gary Garner, his children and their spouses, Gregg and Brandy Poston, Marc and Angie Poston, Billy Jack and Reenay Traylor, and Amy and Victor West. His legacy and spirit live on through his ten grandchildren, Bear, Maddie Me-Darlin’ and Scooter, Pistol and Peaches, Tan Man and Aimee Girl, Candy, Tig and Tank, and his eight great grandchildren, Cooper and Harper, Charlie and Logan, Lilly and Nova, and Collins and Kash.
