Mark was born in Pasadena, Tx on September 22, 1967. He attended the La Porte public school system, where he discovered his love for sports while playing on his middle and high school football teams. He carried his passion for football and baseball into his adult life, as an avid fan of the Houston Texans and Astros. Mark’s favorite past time was watching Sunday night football with friends and family on his Texans themed couch and cheering on the Astros alongside his mom. After high school, he began his successful 20+-year career in environmental services at Clean Harbors
Mark is survived by his mother Jerry Harp, his daughters, Searra Scroggs, Alexis Scroggs and Kylie Scroggs, and his siblings Gloria Crenshaw, Cathy Pierson and her husband, Michael Pierson; Ted Ganoe and his wife Debbie Ganoe; Michelle Yona and her husband Lior Yona. He was preceded in death by his father John Harp, and his granddaughter Kya Grace Molina. Mark was saved in August of 2015 by his brother Ted.
Mark’s other passions included cars, fishing, dancing, country music and making people laugh. He was a thrill seeker who frequented haunted houses and amusement parks and loved a good ghost story. Mark was always at the center of every dance floor and knew how to put a smile on anyone’s face. A jack of all trades, and a skilled handyman, he loved helping people with anything and everything. Mark was the life of the party, and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
