Javier Cardenas Guajardo

Javier Guajardo passed away on October 26, 2010 in Pasadena, TX at the age of 60. He was born on March 8, 1950 in San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico to Faraon and Gregoria Guajardo. Javier is preceded in death by his mother, and infant son, Alejandro. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ruth M. Guajardo; father, Faraon Guajardo; children, Javier Guajardo, Jr. and wife Jennifer, Alex Guajardo and wife Sherry, Ruthie G. Guajardo and husband George S. Gonzales, Adrian Guajardo and wife Julia; grandchildren, Shelby, Madyson, Bella, George, Mercedes, Alexus; great grandchild, Cesar; brothers, Alejandro, Faraon, Jr., Gustavo, Bensavio, Jesus, Joel.

Javier retired from Exxon in 2009 after 29 years with the company. He was a hardworking man, well respected, had high standards, and willing to work hard to aquire the best of what life had to offer. Javier was not afraid to get his hands dirty to accomplish his dreams, and last year realized the dream of owning a cattle ranch. He enjoyed working with cattle and loved barbequing, and making hot sauce for his family. Javier passed on his ability to work on cars to his sons. He treasured sharing time with them on hunting, fishing and deep sea fishing trips. Javier had a deep love for those he held near to heart, he adored his grandchildren, and enjoyed spoiling them. His memory will be cherished by those he leaves behind.

The family will receive friends for visitation between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2010 in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. Juan Diego Catholic Church 3301 Pasadena Blvd.-Pasadena, TX 77503. Interment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
