Jesse Holt was born August 2, 1971, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to Catherine and Jimmy Holt. Jess went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2016. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and a loyal friend. He was the co-owner of Horseshoe Construction, a member of Monument Baptist Church, a board member of the Deer Park Girls Softball Association, and proudly served his country as a US Marine.
Jess was a passionate person. He loved his softball team, Aces Express, and spent hours coaching to make them better softball players. To say he loved hunting and fishing is an understatement. He would finish a weekend of softball and drive several hours to his cabin in Eastland to hunt. Jess truly loved his family and was a dedicated husband. His love for his son Jed and daughter Jaycee could not be matched. Every minute of his day was spent trying to make their lives better. He was so proud of Jed and his choice to serve our country in the US Army. He spent hours with Jaycee, working on hitting and pitching. Softball was their passion. But above all, Jess Holt loved the Lord. He had a strong faith in God and knew that God was in control of everything.
He is survived by his wife Kelly Holt; son, Jedidiah Holt; daughter, Jaycee Holt; step-son, Taylor Jones; step-daughter, Ally Jones; brother, Rick Holt and wife Emma; sister-in-law, Katherine Johnson; uncle Charles Rufus Holt and his wife “Cat” Holt; uncles, Kevin and Arlan Troquille; nieces and nephews, J.D., Luke, Devin, Jessica, Jennifer, and Kolton. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father, James and Catherine Holt, and brother, John Holt.
