Jo Murray

Mamye Lee “Jo” Murray, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Doyle Murray; son, Harold Lee Norman; and sister, Murel Engle. She was born in Grand Saline, Texas on October 21, 1924 to parents, Jesse Lee and Grace Null.

She was a current member of Memorial Baptist Church Pasadena, former member of First Baptist Church of Pasadena and retired from a long career at Ben Brown Insurance Agency.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Mustin and husband Greg; son, Thomas D. Murray, Jr. and wife Harriett; niece, Barbara Engle Williamson and husband Sammy. She was Grammy to Cody Hicks and wife Kaitlin, Cameron Mustin, Caleb Mustin, Jennifer Stephenson and husband Clayton, Linda Froelich and husband Josh, Justin Murray and wife Megan. She was GG (Great Grammy) to Rebekah Froelich, Brice Hicks, JT Stephenson and Kathryn Murray.

Jo was a beautiful and loving wife, mother and grandmother and always put her family before herself. She was a devout Christian who spent her last hours making sure that her family knew she was ready to see the Lord and those waiting for her in Heaven. She wanted to ensure everyone saw her passing as a joyous occasion instead of a sad one.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Grand View Funeral Home. Graveside services to be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 1st at Sand Flat Cemetery in Grand Saline, Texas.
