Born on June 12, 1973, John was a quiet, hardworking man, dedicated not only to his work but just as much within the walls of his own home. He was wise in ways that didn’t always require words, leading with steady hands, sharp insight, and a heart full of care for those around him.
He never sought the spotlight. Instead, he lived his life through quiet acts of responsibility, love, and perseverance. Whether fixing something without being asked or offering a calm word when it was needed most, he was the kind of man who made others feel safe simply by being there.
To his children, he was more than a father—he was a constant, a role model, and a silent source of strength. His lessons will echo through our lives for years to come.
He is survived by his parents, John and Barbara Rippon; his siblings, Shawn Jenkins, Shannon Jenkins, Tammy Colomb, and Tonya Rippon; his children, Koren Schmitt, Casey Sullins, Bryce Sullins, Alanis Sullins, and Kaylee Rippon; and his grandchildren, Audrey, Westyn, Adonis, Colt, and Aliza—as well as many friends and extended family who were touched by his steadiness and care.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on August 2, 2025, at Grand View Funeral Home, where we will gather to honor and remember the man who gave us so much.
Though he’s no longer with us, his presence remains—in the values he passed on, the memories we carry, and the love that will never fade.
Rest well, Dad. We’ll miss you, always.
