Jose Cavazos, Jr. was a loving, caring, compassionate, intelligent, musical, and was self-taught in many trades. His main profession was auto mechanic. He was always a happy, go-lucky person who never met a stranger. He opened his home to people, family, friends and neighbors in need of a place to stay.
His passion was music and arts and crafts. He taught himself how to play the guitar and the accordion. He also had a talent for vocals. He sang in Spanish and English and especially enjoyed country and western music from the 50’s and 60’s. He was always singing and writing down the lyrics of his favorite songs and learning how to sing them. He also enjoyed drawing and painting pictures. He created countless crafts using ordinary materials to make airplanes, butterflies, and hearts with beads, dogs, turkeys, chairs and tables out of miniature clothespins. He had so many talents. Jose was also a comic. He would tell countless jokes in English and Spanish. He made you laugh even when you did not want to. If you were around “Pepe” you could not be sad because he was bound to say something that would make you laugh and smile. He had a tremendous sense of humor. He would pick you up when you were down. We will miss his music and jokes the most. Rest in paradise until we meet again.
