He was born January 2, 1967 in Kingsville to Pedro Cavazos and Connie Bean.
He is preceded in death by Mother Connie Bean and Brother Lorenzo Cavazos, Sr.
On January 7, 2024 Josue “Joey” Cavazos passed peacefully in the arms of his children. Joey was 57, a true Titans fan, man of god, family man and a loving father to his children; Josue Cavazos Jr, Ricky Cavazos, Brandon Cavazos, Chelsie Taylor and Bianca Cavazos. Joey was born in Kingsville and was a long time resident of Deer Park before returning back to Kingsville.
Joey was a hard construction worker of 20 plus years who took pride in his work. Held a rank at the top of his profession and loved watching people succeed. He was a great teacher to anyone who wanted to learn the craft. Dependable, reliable, someone you can trust to get a job well done.
He was also known for his sense of humor and love for god. He was the known family jokester. No conversation ended without your stomach hurting from laughing so hard. Never a dull moment with him in your presence.
If anyone could lead you in prayer it was him.
Joey is survived by his kids Josue Cavazos Jr. and wife Kalyn, Ricky Cavazos and wife Cassie, Brandon Cavazos and wife Savanna, Chelsie Taylor and Bianca Cavazos. He is also survived by his grandchildren Bryson Cavazos, Xavier Cavazos, Sophia Cavazos, JJ Cavazos, Naomi Cavazos, Dakota Paddie, Little Bryson Cavazos, Noah Paddie, Kyson Taylor, Adalynn Cavazos, Raelynn Cavazos, Raiden Cavazos and Arya Cavazos. His Siblings Erica Gomez, Adriana Salinas, Jeanette Cavazos Flores, Pete Cavazos Jr, Jeremy Cavazos, Lisa Cabrera, Joanna Benavente, Steven Cruz and Dale Bean.
A visitation for Josue will be held Friday, January 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
