Juan S. Carrizales, Sr.

He is preceded in death by parents Benito and Oscila Carrizales, his late wife of 37 years and mother of his children Rosa Martha Carrizales.

He was born in Agujita, Mexico and was raised and lived in Monclova and Nueva Rosita until his family moved to San Antonio, Texas in December 1955.

He became a US Citizen in 1962 and moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1969, and was a Master Plumber for 35 years.

He was the oldest of four brothers that included Jesus Carrizales, Jose Carrizales and Benito Carrizales, Jr., currently residing in San Antonio, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Idolina Herrera Carrizales of 26 years and step daughter Eunice(Sergio) Rodriguez.

Juan is also survived by his children: Juan S ( Nancy) Carrizales, Jr., Jesus ( Pamela) Carrizales, Walter (Lori) Carrizales, Rosa Martha ( Raymond) Kingsbury, Elizabeth (Tomas) Carmona, Hector J. (Kathy) Carrizales.

He is furthered survived by 19 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Juan lived a long and full life of 90 years. He loved to go fishing, hunting and camping with his sons and grandchildren. He also enjoyed having family gatherings.

He was great at taking things apart, fixing them and putting them back together.

He was active with his community church where he enjoyed attending Sunday service and loved singing church hymns so much that he was singing God praises on his final days.

Juan was such an amazing story teller, he loved telling stories of his youth, family, work and hunting and fishing.

We were blessed to have him in our lives and he will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Saturday March 19, 2022 at Grand View Funeral Home.

Serving as Pallbearer will be Abel Carmona, Travis Lee Carrizales, Connor Carrizales, Randy Carrizales, Deanna Carrizales and Isaiah Herrera
