Leopoldo M. Gonzalez

Leopoldo M. Gonzalez, 80, passed away on February 15, 2012, in Houston, TX. He was born on November 8, 1931, in Higueras Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Leopoldo enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved listening to music, boxing, soccer, socializing and telling jokes. He worked for Monterrey House for over 30 years and retired from Fiesta where he worked as a baker. Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Francisca Gonzalez; sisters, Rogelia Gonzalez, Irene Cantu and Virginia Cruz Gonzalez; brothers, Daniel and Gerardo Gonzalez. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Maria del Roble Gonzalez; children, Maria Ramirez and husband Gino, Leopoldo Gonzalez, Jr., and wife Amabelly, Oscar Gonzalez and wife Theresa, Laura Fernandez and husband Isreal; sisters, Jacoba Cortes and Imelda Garza; brother, Jesus Gonzalez; grandchildren, Miguel Ramirez, Vicente Ramirez, Gabriela Ramirez, Sandi Gonzalez, Gaddiel Gonzalez, Damaris Gonzalez and Allessandra Fernandez and numerous loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18, 2012, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home.
