Leota Walker went peacefully to be with her Lord on February 24,2015 with her family by her bedside. She was born in Buffalo Springs, Texas on February 8, 1931. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Lora Cox, brothers Jimmy Cox J.C. Cox and sister Larue Tyner. She is survived by her husband Dan Walker of 68 wonderful years, her sons Charles Walker and wife Sharon, Danny Walker and wife Sherri, and daughter Brenda Lewis and husband Mike. Her grandchildren are Colette Palmer, Jeff Lewis, Bryan Lewis, Chad Walker, Danielle Walker, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a long time member of South Main Baptist Church. Her family was her life. She was a great seamstress. She loved to be outdoors tending to her flowers and watching the birds. She loved to travel and see beauty along the way. She looked forward each week for church and the Maverick Sunday School Class.
