On February 2, 2012, Lillian Lucas was greeted into Heaven by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She always said, "You should never ask a lady her age." She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born in Starkville, MS. In 1947, she lived in Columbus MS, where she met her husband of 64 years, Ross Turner Lucas. She worked multiple jobs and owned several businesses in her time, but her "gift" was starting and operating a rooming house for people that were "down and out." If they needed help she would answer with "YUP." Lillian is survived by her son, Ross Turner Lucas Jr.; grandchildren, Jason Lucas and wife Tanya and their children of Texas City, TX, Denita Stevens and husband Brian and their children of La Porte, TX, Heather Fox and husband Andrew and their children of La Porte, TX, Cory Lucas and his significant other Tamber and their children of Houston, TX, Brittany Lucas and fiance Matthew of Houston, TX; and her sister Lucille of Cocoa Beach, FL. She is predeceased by husband Ross Turner Lucas Sr. and brother Omar. A Special Thanks to Peggy: her hospice nurse, Stacey: Social worker, Carrell and Juana: aides and Dr. Chalwa. Graveside services will be held at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena, TX, on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 10:00 AM
Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:
"Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all."
Proverbs 31: 28,29
