Marguerite Jane Thomason, 104 years & 5 months, was born in San Augustine, Texas on December 27, 1911 to August Tell & Clara Wilson Pate, she was one of five children. Marguerite was known for her sense of style, positive attitude & charisma, she loved to play the piano, dance & was a great artist. She had a smile that lit up the room & many were amazed at her strength & courage through the years. She raised her four children to be independent adults with strong work ethics & the gift of story telling. Marguerite worked in sales selling fine jewelry & furniture until she retired in her 70’s. Marguerite was preceded in death by son, George Thomason, daughter in laws Ruth Pilkington, Peggy Pilkington, grandsons Kevin Thomason & David Pilkington, grand son in law Phillip Haygood & great granddaughter Laura Pilkington & great grandson Flip Haygood. Marguerite is survived by her sister, Gussie Lee Brocato (Charles), sons Bill & Jerry Pilkington, daughter Nancy Thomason, daughter in law Janice Thomason, grandchildren Larry Glatz, Darla Haygood, Sharon Vaughan (Charles), Jeff Willcoxon (Kathy), Penny Pilkington, many great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.The family ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a charity of your choice in Marguerite’s memory.
