He was born to Alvin and Agnes Rohne, September 29, 1937, on Parks Ranch in Bosque County, Texas. Marty was raised first in Bosque County until elementary age then moved to Pasadena Texas where he would reside until his move to Deer Park, Texas. He graduated from Pasadena High School in 1956.
Marty had a career in technical services for Pasadena ISD for 39 years and also worked with Gulf Coast Educators FCU as a custodian. From an early age Marty enjoyed cars. Whether it was building, restoring or racing, you could always find him in or underneath a car including his beloved 1940 Chevy Sedan. Marty also enjoyed spending his time fishing on Wednesdays with his fishing buddy and brother Don and while he would tell you he didn’t have a lucky bone in his body, he still enjoyed chancing his luck and going to the casino with Kim (daughter) and Pat (sister and best friend).
Marty was a quiet man, but when he spoke you listened. He enjoyed sharing his childhood memories, racing experiences, and life lessons with his daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Alvin and Agnes Rohne, his aunt, Anna Langseth, brothers, Merril and Dennis Rohne, Sisters Joyce Jorgenson and Pat Shelley, nephew Danny Jo Jorgenson and best friend Pete Bundrandt.
