Mitchell Lee Owens, 54, went to be with the Lord on September, 23, 2013 after a battle with cancer. He was born on August 4, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas to Shelby and Lynette Owens. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynette Sommers Owens. He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Owens; daughter, Christina Owens; brother, David Owens and wife, Georgette, Michael Owens; sister, Lisa Donoho; father, Shelby Owens; sister-in-law, Kelly Owens; nieces, Bailey George and husband Cory and Melissa Donoho and nephews, Andrew Donoho and Anthony Donoho.
Mitchell grew up in League City, TX. He was a cabinet maker for MD Anderson Cancer Center. He was an incredible craftsman and great cook. He was known for his loyalty and honesty and he was a loving husband and caring father. He will be dearly missed.
Family will receive friends on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Grand View Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 3 pm at the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
