

Mrs. Norma Lee Fountain passed away on January 31, 2018 following an extended illness with cancer. Mrs. Fountain was born on January 22, 1934 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Asseph George and Bertha George. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Fountain, brothers and sisters Latief “Tuffy” George, Morris George, Eddie George, Yvonne Pampolina, Bertha George, Margaret George and Mary Ann DeRuiter, Norma Lee is survived by her sister Loretta Rastelli, children Ricky Fountain, Glenn Fountain, Doreen Fountain, Annette Blanchard and her husband Robert Blanchard, Richard Fountain and his wife Marissa Fountain. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Norma Lee was a devoted member of Alta Vista Baptist Church. Before she became ill she participated in several church activities including her Sunday school class, Ladybugs, and sewing class. Norma was a faithful homemaker and exceptional friend. Visitation for Mrs. Fountain will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. with a celebration of life to start at 12:30 p.m. at Grandview Funeral Home in Pasadena, Texas. Officiating will be Bro. Charles Lightfoot of Alta Vista Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Michael Rastelli, Jerry Rastelli, Robert Blanchard, Kevin Blanchard, Stephen Thompson and Chad Nelson. Norma Lee was extremely devoted to her family, her church and the Lord. She was loved by so many. She had a beautiful smile, warm personality, and a great sense of humor. She is fondly remembered by her children and grandchildren for her loving nature, devotion to church, motherly advice and her gentle guidance and direction. She always demonstrated her love for her family not only through her words but also through her actions. Anyone who knew her knew that she had a strong love and affection toward her children, grandchildren and church. Mrs. Fountain will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
