

Peter Charles Fogo of Pasadena, Texas, passed away July 9, 2016. He was born in Glendale, California November 27, 1946 to Dominic and Elizabeth Fogo, and grew up in Gary Indiana. Pete graduated from the University of Nevada with a B.A. in English and received a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Northern Michigan University. He taught social studies at Channelview High School and was well respected by his colleagues and beloved by his students.
Pete is survived by his wife, Georgia; daughters Credence (Xavier) Sol of Tours, France, and Marie (Chris) Smith of Pell City, AL; brother Fred (Ronda) Fogo of Salt Lake City, UT; stepsons Michael Bowlin of Pasadena, Texas and William (Denise) Bowlin of Phenix City, AL; and grandchildren Rafael, Didier, Bruno, Cecilia, Amelia, Matilda, Izzabelle, Eilis and Michaela, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews; a host of friends, especially Ilija Milovanovic, Frank Christian, his brothers from Delta Sigma Phi fraternity; and Emmitt, his big-headed cat.
A man of superior intelligence, quick wit and amazing determination and perseverance, Pete was truly one of a kind and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
A reception will be held from 1:00-3:30 pm on Thursday, July 14th, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:30 pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the family requests memorial contributions to one of Pete’s favorite charities: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; Alley Cat Allies, or Doctors Without Borders.
