Peter Lanchak

Peter Lanchak passed from this life on February 2, 2012 in Webster, TX, at the age of 91. He was born on July 4, 1920 in McKees Rocks, PA to Michael and Catherine Lanchak. Peter is a veteran of WWII. He served as a Tail Gunner in the US Army Air Corps. as a Sargent in the China, Burma India Theatre. Peter is a graduate of the University of Detroit where he earned a BS in Chemical Engineering. He was a member of Tau Beta PI Honor Society. Peter retired from Shell Oil Company after over 30 years of employment. He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 47 years, Barbara Yost-Lanchak; sister, Olga Primola; and 2 grandsons, Michael Adam Vegil and PFC Cody R. Norris. Peter is survived by 4 daughters, Rosemary Olson and husband Martin, Patricia Vegil and husband Robert, Donna Kinnison and husband William, Victoria Hart and husband Taron; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Grand View Funeral Home on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
