Ray Sheffield, Jr.

Tommy Ray Sheffield, Jr, 51, a resident of Pasadena, TX, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016. He was a devoted husband and loving father and is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sally Sheffield and their daughter, Kristie Anne Sheffield (Eric Ortiz – fiancé), and son Tommy Ray (Trey) Sheffield, III. He is also survived by his parents Tommy Ray and Lynda Sheffield, and his sister Cathy Sheffield (Theresa).

Ray served in the United States Air Force for six years and upon his separation from the military he served on the staff of The Citadel in Charleston, SC. Ray moved to Houston in 1995 to begin his 20+ year career with Cici’s Pizza. He made many friends and mentored countless individuals in his role as their boss, more importantly, their friend. He recently decided to slow down the pace of his work life to focus his time and attention on his wife and children. His work at Beacon Lakes Golf Course provided him the work and family balance he desired.

Ray had a deep commitment to his family and friends and maintained lifelong friendships from his travels around the world. He could be counted on whenever anyone needed him and he was always generous with his time and talents. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 5:00 pm, Grand View Funeral Home, Pasadena, Texas.
