Reba had many friends throughout her life and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, and even crabbing. She was a very fun and personable woman who loved the outdoors. Reba also enjoyed watching movies and taking trips to Louisiana to gamble, or just a good old game of Bingo.
She is preceded in death by her father, Collin Edward McBride, and brothers, Kenny McBride and Dale McBride.
She is survived in death by her mother, Mildred Vermell White, and step-father James Smith of Pasadena, Texas; son, Jason Hewgley and wife Betsy with son, Jacob; daughter, Erica Mays and husband Chris, with daughter, McKenna; sisters, Renee Singleton of Mobile, Alabama; Regina Atkinson of New Orleans, Louisiana; and brother, Warren McBride of Pasadena, Texas. She also has 3 step-sisters, Linda Smith, of Pasadena, Texas; Kerry Barker, of Baytown, Texas, and Renee Smith of Slidell, Louisiana. Reba will be missed by many other numerous loving family and friends.
We know she would have liked to give a thank you to Accredited Hospices of America, especially the nurses, Eva, Kaci, and Erika for all the work and care they showed Reba in her last days.
