Richard Luis

Richard Trevino Luis, 54, passed away on June 24, 2013, in Houston, Texas. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Maria Garcia. Richard worked in the Pasadena Independent School District for 16 years before medically retiring. Richard enjoyed many things in life including fishing, lotto tickets, the Houston Texans and making people laugh. He always had a wonderful sense of humor, and would always make the best out of any situation. He had a big heart, and an even bigger smile. Richard is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christine Luis, son Richard Trevino Luis Jr, daughter Jessica Luis, loving dogs, Ender and Petra, mother Maria Garcia, stepfather Antonio Garcia, brother Robert Luis, sisters Rachel Arevalo, Rebecca Diaz, Rosalie Acevedo, father and mother in law Benjamin & Gloria Veracruz, sister in laws Betty Campos, JoAnn Hernandez, Mary Veracruz, Linda Veracruz, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 27, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
