Ronald (Ronny) Doyle Leach passed away on April 1, 2022, at his home in Pasadena, Texas. He was 77. Born on August 19, 1944, in Durham, NC, Ronny lived in Oppelo, Arkansas until the age of 11. At that time, 1956, the family moved to Pasadena, Texas. Ronny graduated from Pasadena High School in 1962 with honors. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts, with honors. He had a double major in History and German.
Ronny was a life-long learner. He loved to read the classics, listen to classical music, and watch Samurai movies. Ronny was a very private person but enjoyed his close personal friendships. For a hobby, he did digital art, creating different bird images.
Ronny was pre-deceased by his parents Olva D Leach and Homer R Leach. Surviving family includes his brother Richard Leach (Jo Carrol) of New Mexico; sisters Patricia Compton of Wharton, Texas; Sue Leach of Wilmington, NC; and Pam Welch (Troy) of Houston, TX; two nieces, seven nephews, four grand-nieces, and six grand-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Grand View Memorial Park, at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 25, 2022.
