Sam Terrell Teague

Sam Terrell Teague, 85, of Pasadena, TX, passed away December 28, 2023. He was born in Buckner, Arkansas on May 28, 1938, to Sam and Evyl Teague. He was married to Nelda Jean Teague for 65 years. Sam worked in the food and grocery industries for most of his working life. He worked for various grocery and food companies and owned a couple of Pasadena convenience stores. He is best known in the industry as a distributor for various spice companies and did that for over 23 years. His boys called him “Sam The Spice Man.” Sam had a passion for restoring old cars, music from the 50’s, loving on his dogs (Heidi and Ginger) and spending time with his loving family. Sam was the epitome of a people person.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Evyl Teague and his sister Deborah Ham.

Sam is survived by: his loving wife, Nelda, his brother Dewey Teague, Sons: Steve Teague and Stan Teague and his wife Jan; Granddaughters: Lindsay Johnson and Claire and Matalyn Teague; Great Grandson: Aiden Johnson; Nieces: Wendy Huffman and her husband John, Penny Pineault and her husband Marc and Christie Hinnenkamp; Great Nieces: Tyra Huffman and Abbey Pineault; Great Nephews: Garett Pineault, Mason Hinnenkamp and Ethan Huffman, as well as other relatives and a multitude of friends.

Honorary Pall Bearers: Howard Rice, Morris Cherry, Howard Ranft, Don Elkins, and Harry Whittaker.

A visitation for Sam will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
