Sammy Ray Hatfield

Sam was born in Tussy, Oklahoma on September 10, 1937 to Parents Jonnie and Zadie Hatfield

And was married to Patsy Faye Hammons on August 16, 1958 then later married Joyce Sheridan on October 1st, 2003.

Sam worked as a milk delivery man, on the oil fields as a truck driver and Roustabout, and later as operator and Instrument Supervisor at USI Chemical and The Lyondale Company.

He loved to play the guitar, sing and loved to go camping and fishing. But he never did catch much.

Sam loved the Lord and was instrumental in starting Victory Baptist Church in Baytown Texas and he and Patsy were long time members of Central Baptist Church in Deer Park, TX; where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon.

He was preceded in death by : Wife Patsy Faye Hammons Hatfield, Wife Joyce Sheridan Hatfield, His Father- Jonnie Cole Hatfield, His Mother- Zadie Ruth Hatfield, His Brother- Bobby Hatfield, His Brother- Wendal and wife Ellen Hatfield and wife Julie Hatfield, His Brother-Glendal and wife Avon Hatfield

He is survived by: Four sons; Carey and wife Tawna Hatfield, Brady and wife Sharon Hatfield, Alan and wife Tammy Hatfield, Darrell and wife Christina Hatfield Also 13 grandchildren, 20 Great grandchildren, 2 Great Great-grandchildren, and leaves behind Mac who as he would say “Mac is a very good dog”

Sam also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Doris Hatfield; and several nieces and nephews and their children who he loved very much.

Sam Hatfield will be missed so much, but never forgotten. Till we meet again!

A visitation for Sammy will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 30, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A graveside service will occur Monday, October 30, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
