Shirley Rhoad passed away February 14, 2010 in Pasadena, TX. She was born September 24, 1937 in New London, TX. Shirley resided in Pasadena for most of her life and was an active member of the American Business Women's Association, Pasadena Historical Society, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, and loved volunteering whenever possible.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Joe King and Lorena Eakes; husband of 21 years, Richard Rhoad; and special friend, William. She is survived by her son, Christopher Gary and wife Denise; daughter, Janna Brightman and husband Scott Rose; grandchildren, Jillian Gary, Brittany Gary, Matthew Peters, Daniel Brightman; brother, James Parker and Sandy. Shirley also leaves behind her best friend, and special angel, Nell.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy. Pasadena, TX 77505.
