

Thelma Jean (Dirr) Paradysz, 85 of Friendswood, Texas was born September 2, 1936 in Pasadena, Texas to Eugene Oliver and Gladys Carruth (Tigner) Dirr and passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022. She was a big sports fan of all the Texas Teams (Astros, Texans, Texas A&M, Texas); she enjoyed crocheting and took great pride in her completion of a project that was 6 years in the making, “The Lord’s Supper”; she loved her pets from her 5 German Shepherds to her little Chihuahuas’; she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pasadena.
Thelma Jean is survived by her children, John Paradysz and wife, Martha; Cindy Grimes and husband, Ron; grandchildren, John Timothy Paradysz and wife, Courtney; Heidi Adler and husband, Brandon, Steven Paradysz and wife, Crystal, Jason Lamparter and wife, LeeAnn and Katie Zientek and husband, Michael, along with Eric Grimes; her great-grandchildren, Maddy, Zane, Zabrina, Zebastian, Jack, Jillian, Drake, Reid, Logan, Samuel and along with her brother, Eugene Oliver Dirr Jr., niece Sharon Missavage and nephew Richard Scott Jr.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Elaine Scott; and her niece Kathryn Washington.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Grand View Funeral Home with visitation being held Friday, March 11, 2022 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm also at Grand View Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Paradysz, Jason Lamparter, Brandon Adler, Zane Adler, Jack Paradysz and Michael Zientek.
