Wilmer E. Easter, 76, passed away May 9, 2011 in La Porte, Texas. He was born January 29, 1935 in Marlin, Texas to the late William Earl Easter and Katie Pearl Polson Easter. Wilmer served his country proudly in the United States Army for 21 years and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 34 years, Marilyn Rose Easter; daughter, Renée Diez and husband Bill; grandson, Christopher Cooper and wife Theresa; granddaughter, Sarah Oliver and husband Michael; great-grandchildren, Leah Cooper, Westin Lummus, Andrew Jones; brothers , Larry Easter and wife Suzanne, Donald Easter and wife Nell, Bobby Easter and wife Pat; sisters, Wanda Seals and husband Benny, Betty Pierce and several other loving family members and friends. Wilmer was a gunsmith for several years and loved hunting, traveling, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at Grand View Funeral Home with a service following at 2:30pm. Interment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
