Alberto Rodriguez, lovingly known as the life of the party and an ever-present pillar in the community, entered eternal rest on December 22, 2023. Born on May 22, 1970, Alberto embraced life with the joy and vigor of a child who never lost his spark.
Alberto's jovial nature was contagious; he was the clown amongst his peers, always with a smile and ensuring those around him were filled with happiness. His childhood memories are painted with vivid strokes of playful adventures with his siblings, where they tasted risk and reveled in the sheer joy of simply being 'boys.' His enduring romance with his wife, spanning 18 years, began in the digital sphere of MySpace—a testament to their lasting connection, they never ceased to flirt and keep the spark alive. Their weekends were synonymous with beach trips, resonating with laughter and the comfort of tradition. Alberto loved to cook, and barbecues were not just a meal but a ritual, where his cooking brought people together over delicious meals. Alberto instilled the essence of baseball within his children, teaching them not only the game but also life's larger lessons through sportsmanship. He extended this role beyond his family, serving as a dedicated coach for 25 to 30 years, where he touched the lives of many, including his children, grandchildren, and youth from his community. His role as a coach was not confined to the field; Alberto embodied the characteristics of a true mentor, impacting many with his huge heart and good intentions. His inclusive nature meant no one was left behind—everyone was part of Alberto's extended family. His own journey with baseball was illustrious, marked by his college years playing at an All-Star and all-state level. Alberto is remembered for his magnetic personality, a beacon of joy in any gathering, his laughter echoing as a fond memory in the hearts of all he touched. The void left by Alberto’s absence stretches through the realm of his friends, family, and all the young lives he shaped. He captivated others not merely by his humor but also by his unwavering commitment to nurturing potential.
