Alberto Sanchez Jr.

Pharr - Alberto Sanchez Jr., 45, passed away at Amara Hospice in Edinburg, Texas on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 after nearly a month’s medical battle at DHR in Edinburg. Albert was born January 15, 1972 in Pharr, Texas to Alberto and Maria Sanchez, and lived in Pharr all of his life. He attended PSJA schools and graduated from PSJA High School in 1990 where he was a JROTC cadet.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Alma Sanchez and his three beloved sons Albert III, Leonard and Edward Sanchez, mother Maria Sanchez, grandmother Mariana Treviño, his siblings Anna (Saul) Garza, Beatriz (David) Gonzalez, Saul (Maggie) Sanchez, and Laura Sanchez. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends.

Albert worked at Carwash Carwash and Van Burkleo Motors in McAllen; then he worked for the past eight years with Rochester Armored Car in Pharr as a Security Officer. Besides being a very hard worker, he was a wonderful husband, loving father, respectful son, affectionate grandson, caring brother, goofy uncle, responsible son-in-law, trustworthy brother-in-law, and loyal friend to many.

He brighten everyone’s day with his humor and positive attitude. He was an avid fisherman, enthusiastic and loyal Dallas Cowboys fan and most of all a humble helpful person.

Pallbearers to accompany him are Anthony Garza, David Gonzalez, David Gonzalez Jr., Jeremiah Gonzalez, Jorge Alvarado, Juan Alvarado, Saul Garza, and Saul Garza Jr.

Visitation will be Friday, July 21, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Palm Valley Funeral Home 4607 N. Sugar Road, Pharr, TX. Please wear navy blue, white or Dallas Cowboys’ attire to show your love for Albert.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 22 at 9:30 am at Rios de Agua Viva Baptist Church, 5609 S. Sugar Rd., Edinburg, TX. Interment will follow at the Palm Valley Memorial Cemetery at 11 a.m. There will be a celebration of his life held at Palm Valley Funeral Home following the burial.
