Elio Cantu Jr.

Elio was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished son and brother. He is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Criselda Cantu, his children, Jesus Garcia Jr., Damaris Vianey Cantu, and Elio Cantu III; his parents, Elio Cantu Sr. and Arminda Cantu; and his sisters, Norma Dominguez, Elizabeth Garcia, and Sandra Morales.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cesario Cantu, Santos A. Cantu, Maria T. Perez, and Jose Alfredo Perez.

Elio will be remembered for his warm heart, vibrant spirit, and deep love for his family. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as fishing, hunting, and barbequing with his loved ones. Music and dancing brought him joy, and his wide-ranging taste in music always filled the room with energy and laughter. His presence was a blessing to all who knew him.

Visitation for Elio will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, Texas 78577. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM that evening. Visitation will continue on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with a second rosary at 7:00 PM.

Elio’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will never be forgotten.
