

Born in McAllen, he lived most of his life in Pharr, TX. Ernie married his High School sweetheart, Maria Victoria, and together they formed a beautiful family with their four sons. Ernie was a role model to his sons, teaching them to work hard and grow into family oriented men. He had many hobbies but his favorite including family gatherings, barbequing, fishing, hunting and working. His pride and joy was his grandchildren. He was a second father to his granddaughter, Nichole who lived with him and his wife. Ernie was a hardworking man and fortunately enjoyed his occupation dedicating over 35 years as truck driver. He was devoted to his life to his beautiful family; his wife, Maria Victoria, was his forever-eternal love. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of many cherished memories to his family and friends.

Ernie is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Maria Victoria Acevedo; his four sons, Ernesto (Michelle) Acevedo, Jr., Joe Luis (Elyssha) Acevedo, Eddie (Keyla) Acevedo, Aaron (Bertha) Acevedo; eight grandchildren; and 11 siblings along with numerous extended family and friends.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, Father, Genaro Romero Acevedo and mother, Rufa Acevedo
His visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. A catholic mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr at 11a.m..
Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
