Born on April 20, 1947, in Biñan Laguna, Philippines, she dedicated her life to making a difference in this world.
She leaves behind her spouse of 51 years, Eliser Mejia. Her children Ericson Mejia, Ellinor Sanchez, Ethelyn Clements, Esteliz Gillett, and Eleazar Mejia.
She was a devout wife, mother, and teacher. She taught in Hargill, Mission, and La Joya and had the honor of being teacher of the year. She was also an exemplary Catholic, who tithed and went to mass every Sunday, volunteered, and sang in the choir.
She loved to cook, fish, read, work in her garden, travel, and do many other things. But what she loved most was her family. She was the kind of mother who dedicated her life to her spouse and children. Her faith, love, and dedication made her fearless. She was the light and strength in times of darkness and trouble. Anyone who called on her was never turned away. She lived a life with true faith, dedication, and love. Her absence in this world is to be present in the Lord, and even though she is dearly missed, she is now free of earthly troubles.
She is an excellent mother and a truly faithful and loyal wife. She was an amazing and fun person who gave freely and made everyone feel welcome. She was a truly amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother. She was a classic, simple, elegant woman. She was very intelligent, very kind, very loving, and very generous. She loved mentoring and helping everyone she meets. She was never selfish. Ester always puts others above herself.
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. -Matthew 25:23
But after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all Grace, who calls you to share his eternal glory, in union with Christ, will Himself perfect you and give you firmness and strength, and a sure foundation. To Him be the power forever and ever. Amen. -1 Peter 5:10-11
That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. -1 Corinthians 2:9
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. -Revelation 21:4
A visitation for Ester will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a catholic service at 7:00 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr, TX.
