Isidro was born in San Juan, Texas on October 26, 1962, to father, Basilio Ramos and mother, Anita Malacara. The eighth t of ten children, he helped out his migrant working family at an early age.
Affectionately known as Issy, Dad, and Grampy, he was well loved. Isidro was happily married to his wife, Ventura for 40 years.
Isidro worked in the trucking industry as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed meeting and visiting with fellow truck drivers at truck stops.
If you asked a hundred people who Isidro Ramos was, they’d all give you a different story, however, they would all agree that he was generous and helpful to whomever he met throughout his long journey as a truck driver. He always had stories of selfless acts.
Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for his loved ones. Isidro will be dearly missed by his friends, family, grandchildren, but especially his wife and daughter who thought the world of him.
Isidro was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Javier Ramos; and a sister, Virginia Ramos.
Isidro is survived by his wife, Ventura. He was a proud father to one daughter, JoAnna (Jorge) Quintero; and two grandchildren, Jiana Renee Quintero and Jelena Arabella Quintero.
Anyone who truly knew him can tell you that his grandchildren were his greatest pride and joy.
A private visitation and funeral for Isidro is planned to honor his requests.
Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
