Manuel Hernandez

Manuel was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a steady presence in the lives of all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Gloria Lopez Gonzales, with whom he shared a life rooted in love, partnership, and family. He is also survived by his children, Manuel Hernandez Jr., and his spouse Jonathan McCollum, Anabel Hernandez and her husband Jacob De Leon, and Anthony Hernandez; and a grandchild, Sebastian Hernandez McCollum.

Manuel was predeceased by his beloved son, Michael Hernandez, whom he carried in his heart every day of his life. Manuel also shared close bonds with his siblings, whom he loved dearly, and valued the relationships that connected him to his extended family and community.

Above all else, Manuel was a devoted family man who took great pride in his children and grandchild, finding his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved. A beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend, he was known for his kindness, unwavering support, and quiet strength. His life was defined by love and devotion, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know him.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 10 pm, with a 6 pm prayer service at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, located at 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577 on Friday, January 2nd, 2026.
