

Born on November 13,1952, in Raymondville, Tx to Luis and Maria Guerrero. She graduated from Raymondville High School and in the mid-'70s Olivia worked as a paraprofessional at LC Smith Elementary, during this time she was an avid sports enthusiast and she coached girls' softball for several years.Olivia also played for a woman's softball team and was recognized for her athletic performance as an MVP pitcher. Olivia was very active in the Raymondville community when she served as Vice President of the Raymondville Jaycee Women's organization. Olivia served as State Chaplin for the Texas Women's Jaycees from 1984-1985. Olivia then moved to Pharr, Tx, where she later earned the honor of Employee of the Year when she worked at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. Olivia loved watching her favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys she never missed a game. She also enjoyed baking cookies and cakes for her friends and family, and she will always be remembered for her creative talents and her baking skills.
Olivia is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Maria Guerrero and her son Sergio Salinas.
She is survived by her daughter Anna (Julio Ortiz) Salinas; grandchildren Faith Salinas, Jordan Ortiz, Jeremy Ortiz, and Jacob Ortiz; siblings, Elvira Sias, Luisa Alvarado, and Juan Guerrero.
Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
