Rene R Garcia

Rene was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, and a man known for his warm heart and generous spirit. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Salas Garcia; his children, Margo Salas, Rene Garcia Jr., Elma Garcia, Gerardo Uribe and Angelina Lawler; his brother, Daniel Garcia; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to his life.

Rene was preceded in death by his mother, Genoveva Rodriguez, and his brothers Luis Garcia, Juan Garcia, Gilbert Garcia, and Jose Garcia.

A man of many passions, Rene found joy in simple pleasures. He loved woodworking and building crafts with his hands, often creating pieces that reflected his care and creativity. He enjoyed fishing trips, visits to the casino, and playing his guitar—pastimes that brought him peace and happiness. Rene was also known for his love of sharing videos on Facebook and YouTube, using technology to connect with the people he loved. Most of all, he treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, whose lives he brightened with his music, stories, and affection.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, Texas 78577. A prayer service will be held that evening at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location, with burial to follow at 11:00 AM at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens.

Rene will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
