Reyna Escamilla

PHARR- Reyna Escamilla, 74, left to be with the Lord on Friday, September 22, 2017 at McAllen Heart Hospital in McAllen. She was born to Gonzalo Barboza and Maria del Carmen Almanza on June 5, 1943 in Cuidad Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She is now reunited with her son, Raul Escamilla; who preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Praxedis Escamilla and their children; Rosa Maria Rodriguez, Jose Luis (San Juana) Escamilla, Griselda Smeer, Antonio (Patricia) Escamilla, Julio (Veronica) Escamilla, Gilberto Escamilla, Sara (Raul) Soto, Blanca (Freddy) Esqueda & Praxedis Escamilla Jr. She will also be greatly missed by her 27 grandchildren, Mayra, Yazmin, Edna, Sonia, Luis Miguel, Carmen, Angelica, Lizeth, Yaneth, Arturo, Israel, Jesus, Brenda, Ulises, Abby, Alejandro, Gilberto, Viviana, Ana, Raul, Samantha, Sonny, Ernie, Freddy, Reyna, Ricky, Miriam and 32 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2 pm to 1 am with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11 am at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palm Valley Funeral Home of Pharr.
