Santos Tijerina Espinoza

Santos is preceded in death by her son Eusebio Martinez, parents, Eusebio & Lucinda Tijerina and her brothers, Marcelino, Gilberto, and Albino Tijerina.

Santos was a loving wife, mother and grandmother loved by all. Santos loved to travel, experience different foods, share her life stories and cherished spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She always looked for the opportunity to dance and loved nortenas. She also enjoyed telling stories to her grandchildren whom she loved and cherished very much. Santos will be missed and in our hearts forever.

Santos is survived by her loving husband, Jesus Espinoza; her children, Matilde (Julia) Martinez III, Elva Martinez, Lucy (Ernesto) Solis, John Michael Martinez, Anabel (Mario) Perez and Jesus (Pamela) Espinoza Jr. Santos also leaves behind 24 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and sisters, Juanita Solis, Sarita Tijerina and Martina “Tina” Prado.

Family received friends Sunday, December 25, 2016 from 5-9 p.m. and Monday December 26, 2016 from 12-9 p.m. with a rosary recited both evenings at Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr. Funeral Services will be today, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church in Pharr. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Palm Valley Funeral Home of Pharr.
